What a strange year it’s been hey! Well, the good news is that the road out of lockdown is looking evermore positive and we hope to get back to some sort of normality as rules and restrictions are eased.
The committee (rule of 6) have had a meeting, getting some plans in place to get the club open for you at the earliest and safest opportunity. But in the meantime, the club’s facilities remain out of use at present and foreseeable based on the government guidelines.
Dumper trucks are available to use as normal, but please continue to make the club aware of any faults as soon as they become apparent so the issues can be addressed asap.
The car park is also still available to use. The gate lock code has recently been changed according to the schedule as notified in last years membership pack. If you have mislaid the combination please contact a member of the committee and they will be able to advise you. Please note the gate combination is for MEMBERS ONLY and should not be shared. Your car park permit should also be displayed each time your vehicle is parked at the club. These are colour coded and will change each time your membership is renewed.
It’s been some time since most of us have been out on the water so can we please just refresh our memories on the local council byelaws and the request of the club to adhere to the 8-knot rule when launching or returning to the beach. With recent and future attention in the media to water motorcraft, we don’t wish to attract any unnecessary negative attention to ourselves or the club.
We hope this finds you all well, and we look forward to sharing a drink or two with you all when the club can re-open.
